Groove

A groove can occur in many different objects as a sustained depression. Whether a groove is desired or not is the question. If a single track measurement of a groove is sufficient, laser point sensors, confocal, capacitive or eddy current sensors can be used for this depending on the material. These sensors are often sufficient if it is just a matter of checking whether a groove is present or not. However, if the course or the profile of the groove will be inspected, laser line scanners are suitable for this.
