Miniature non contact temperature sensors

There are many industrial applications which call for the measurement of temperature. However in some of these applications, where there may not be enough space to site a standard non contact temperature measurement device, a miniature temperature sensor will have to be used.
ThermoMETER CS micro temperature sensors can measure differences in temperature between -30°C and 1,600°C. And because all the electronics are incorporated in the sensor itself, it can be used in the smallest of sensing locations.
The basic version of the sensor has an analogue voltage output; while more complex versions use a two-loop method to power their internal electronics so do not need a separate feed from an external supply. The emissivity of the sensors can also be changed if connected to a PC via an optional USB connection, as can the temperature range and the o/p span.
Miniature non contact temperature sensors need to be used where installation space is restricted, such as in OEM manufacturing machines, which carry out all their processes in a small self contained unit.
Some applications in which this type of sensor can be used include glass pretensioning, glass machining and high precision cooling.
