Quality control on pipes

A novel solution is required here in order to check leak tightness of plastic, ceramic and metal pipes. ConPro is a company that supplies measurement systems for the random sampling and inspection of sleeves, pipes or fittings. Two optoNCDT 1700 laser sensors are located on a plate with a stay and a mirror at the end, which deflects the laser beam by 90° so that one of the two sensors can measure the pipe from the inside. U sing the differential measurement method, the sensors measure diameter, ovality and eccentricity. The measurement is fully automatic, with the only manual intervention being the insertion of the test item into the machine.
