Measuring technology is finding more and more possible applications in series products. Draw-wire sensors in particular are popular due to the simple and robust design. The MK series is considered the standard especially for OEM integration.
The newest addition to the MK series draw-wire sensors is the wireSENSOR MK120 with the measuring ranges of 3000 mm, 5000 mm and 7500 mm. This series uses standard sensor technology which has been well proven many times. However, despite this, they can be quickly and easily customised or modified. The distinctive difference from the standard draw-wire sensors is the case, which in this case consists of glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) rather than metal.
With this development, the MK product series with the existing MK30, MK46 and MK77 is expanded by three further models. With this, an OEM sensor with a measuring range of this magnitude is available on the market for the first time. The proven MK46 is used many times in series production for medium measuring ranges - from 1000 to 1250 mm. The MK30 covers the shortest measuring ranges from 50 to 500 mm. The MK77 is used for applications which require a measuring range of 2100 mm. This series is used, for example, in medicine for position measurement on patient tables. It is also used in lifting technology for elevating platforms in automobile production and on column lifts for the servicing of vehicles.
