Turbocharger speed sensor for high volume production

turboSPEED TSSC is used for turbocharger speed measurement on vehicles in high-volume production. The sensor cast in plastic operates according to the eddy current principle and meets all EMC conditions in the engine compartment. turboSPEED TSSC is located on the “cold” side of the turbocharger and measures there directly onto the edge of the compressor wheel. The sensor measures on turbine wheels made of aluminium and also made of titanium. The measurable speed range is from 200 to 400,000 rpm.
In high-volume production, the sensor enables 100% utilisation of the power range of the turbocharger and protects against too high a speed.
