Ferromagnetic

All materials, whose elementary magnets can be aligned with a permanent magnet are ferromagnetic (from the Latin ferrum = iron).

 

Test: if a magnet sticks on the test material, it is ferromagnetic.
Typ.: iron, st37, cobalt, nickel, some stainless steels...
This term is typical in the field of Eddy current measurements.
