Master / Slave

The master specifies a defined size which the slave follows.

Example: Synchronisation of Eddy current displacement measurement systems.
Operating several Eddy current measurement channels with a close distance to one another might cause a mutual influence due to slightly different oscillator frequencies. This can be prevented by synchronising the oscillators. For this reason, the controllers are connected together using a Synchronisation cable. In the case of connection, the oscillator of controller 2 (slave) switches automatically to Synchronisation mode and operates in dependence of controller 1 (master).
