NEW: scanCONTROL 2700: Compact sensor with integrated controllerscanCONTROL consists of a compact sensor with integrated electronics. The controller outputs both the 2D profile information (standard) as well as linked or geometric values. The integrated FireWire interface enables full control from a PC, also giving high data rates, while simultaneously preserving the bandwidth. scanCONTROL 2700/2710 is distinguished by its high scanning rate and high measurement accuracy. The geometry of the measuring field (height Z and width X) can be varied and adapted to the measurement application. With fast moving profiles, high accuracy is achieved for the complete profile using a high speed shutter. While the matrix is being read out, the next image is recorded. scanCONTROL 2800 / 2810: 2D/3D Laser-Line Triangulation The laser-line profile sensor, scanCONTROL 2800, makes use of the triangulation principle for two-dimensional acquisition of profiles on a variety of different target surfaces.
In contrast to familiar point laser sensors, a line optical system projects a laser line onto the surface of the object to be measured. The back scattered light from the laser line is registered on a CMOS array by a high quality optical system. Along with distance information (z-axis), the controller also calculates the true position along the laser line (x-axis) from the camera image and outputs both values in the sensor's two-dimensional coordinate system. A moving object or a scanning sensor will generate a three-dimensional representation of the object.

Application types scanCONTROL 2800 is the base unit for customer's self-programmed applications. The series 2800 supplies high-precision x- and z-values with fast profile progression for individual data preparation, for example, also for applications on coordinate measuring machines. scanCONTROL 2810 is equipped with a pre-programmed signal processor for measurements on beads (bulges, bumps) or grooves (indentations, gaps).
