Next generation confocal chromatic sensor system
The confocalDT IFD2415 and IFD2410 are powerful confocal sensors with integrated controller. The space-saving IP65-housing enables fast integration into plant equipment and machines as no optical fibre is required. Furthermore, the IFD2410 and 2415 are ideally suited to high precision distance and thickness measurements in industrial series applications. In addition, the IFD2415 can be used with transparent materials for multi-layer thickness measurements of up to 5 layers. The active exposure time regulation of the CCD line enables fast and stable measurements of varying surfaces even in dynamic processes up to 25 kHz. The measuring system is also characterised by high luminous intensity which enables fast and reliable measurements even on dark surfaces.

Now with integrated Industrial Ethernet interface
Their integrated Industrial Ethernet interface (EtherCAT) allows for the IFD2410/2415 sensors to be directly integrated into the PLC without any additional interface module. You benefit from real-time data without time delay as well as reduced installation and wiring effort. The sensor is parameterised in Ethernet mode via the intuitive web interface. Industrial Ethernet ensures that the settings are automatically applied to the PLC environment. This eliminates time-consuming setting efforts in the programming environment.

Easy integration in plants and systems
The space-saving IP65-housing enables fast integration into plant equipment and machines as no optical fibre is required. Due to the compact design of sensor and controller in one housing, the measurement signal is transmitted directly to the controller and evaluated there. The sensor is mounted either via three threaded holes in the controller housing or via a radial clamp on the sensor head. The versatile connection options via EtherCAT, analogue, encoder or RS422 allow easy integration into existing plants and systems.
Ease of use via web interface
Due to a user-friendly intuitive web interface, the entire configuration process is carried out without using any additional software. The web interface can be accessed via Ethernet and provides set up and configuration options. Taught materials are stored in an expandable materials database.
