The eddyNCDT 3005 is a compact, high performance eddy current measurement system for fast, high precision displacement measurements including vibration, shaft runout, concentricity, gap, eccentricity, oil film thickness and position.
The complete conditioning electronics have been miniaturised and mounted into a compact cylindrical housing, integrated into the sensor cable 1m from the sensor head. Having the electronics remote from the sensor enables more compact sensor dimensions and higher operating temperatures, compared to sensors with integrated electronics.
Compact electronics does not mean lower performance however. The sensor and controller have active temperature compensation, which means high measurement accuracies can be achieved even in fluctuating ambient temperatures. The sensors are designed for operating temperatures up to max. +125°C but can optionally be supplied for operating temperatures of +180°C. The complete measurement system (sensor, cable and electronics) is pressure-resistant to 10bar for added robustness.
Ideal for both OEM and single quantity measurements
Combined with a competitive pricing structure, this is an ideal OEM solution. The eddyNCDT 3005 can be supplied from stock in lower quantities. For higher volume applications, the system can be modified to suit individual requirements. The sensor is factory calibrated for both ferrous and non-ferromagnetic materials, which eliminates the need for onsite calibration of the sensor.
The robust construction, combined with true eddy current measurement principle, enables measurements in harsh industrial environments (oil, pressure, dirt). Additionally, the eddyNCDT 3005 is also suitable for some offshore and marine applications (saltwater resistant) due to its stainless steel construction.
The eddyNCDT 3005 provides ease of use and high measurement accuracy, offering an outstanding price/performance ratio. Therefore, the sensor is ideally suited to OEM integration and machine building applications, particularly where pressure, dirt, oil and high temperatures are present.
